What is a split system air conditioner?
A split system is a two-part reverse-cycle air conditioner: an indoor head mounted high on an internal wall, and an outdoor condenser installed outside the home. Insulated copper refrigerant lines, a communication cable, and a condensate drain connect the two. The system moves heat out of the room in cooling mode, and pulls heat from outside air into the room in heating mode.
